ART NOUVEAU / Camille Fauré: The enamel artist worked for the Limoges Porcelain Company in Limoges. He soon became well known for his striking colour scheme. He produced vases and other objects but also jewellery. In 1919 he joined Alexander Marty and they developed new methods of enamelling including frosted and flamed enamels. His breakthrough was the Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes 1925 in Paris. He became Limoges’ most famous enameller. He worked until his death in 1956. His daughter Andrée Fauré took over the business. The company was closed in 1985.
